The Cowboys have the 24th pick in the 2024 NFL draft, with plenty of holes to plug after an offseason where Jerry Jones' promise of an "all-in" approach failed to come to fruition.

Free agency wasn't kind to Dallas, as they didn't make many splash signings due to cap space issues. While not the end of the world, this means that the Cowboys need to hit on as many picks as they can in the draft. In addition, they're missing a fourth-round pick and two seventh-round picks, making the margin of error even smaller.

However, a trade down from 24 to 29 with the Lions has increased their pick stockpile. Despite the bevy of offensive line options, Dallas weighed a trade down as more valuable to their draft hopes. The second step in their 2024 draft journey was to draft Austin native and Oklahoma offensive lineman Tyler Guyton.
